About Us

Little River Christian Camp is nestled on sixteen acres along Little River in the magnificent Umpqua National Forest between the Coastal and Cascade Ranges.

The camp was originally a logging camp during the 1940’s & 1950’s. Abandoned, the camp was purchased in 1959 by the Southern Oregon Association of Christian Churches (SOACC) and the camp was formed.  Many of the original houses, staff buildings, and bunkhouses are being used today.

The Umpqua National Forest is one of the best locations in Oregon for viewing waterfalls.  With numerous hiking trails to visit and enjoy, regardless your skill level or ability!

The nearby North Umpqua River is well known for its fishing.  Whether it be for trout or salmon, local guides can direct you to the best fishing locations. River rafting is another favorite activity on the North Umpqua River.

Crater Lake National Park and Diamond Lake are just a short drive up the mountain; Diamond Lake is excellent fishing and in July, hosts a spectacular fireworks display.  Both Crater Lake and Diamond Lake provide summer and winter sports activities.  Skiing, tubing, snowboarding, plus an abundance of trails for snowmobiling are just a some of the winter activities to be enjoyed.

The Rogue River, about two hours south of the camp, is also well known for its fishing and white water rafting.
